Many people like to trade old items for hot new items, or homemade ones. For Christmas decorations, stockings are fun to make with your kids as are gingerbread houses and other simple Christmas tree ornaments to decorate your real looking artificial Christmas tree. Make Christmas personal by getting the little ones to string popcorn and lend a helping hand. Some traditions should never die. You can get mantle clips for your stocking for added protection to your walls and for your family.

Snow globes are another one of those traditions of old that just cannot be replaced. There are some new and beautiful designs out there that are absolutely amazing. The kids will love them, and you will appreciate the Holiday accent that they add to the room.

Nativity scenes are also another way to add a bit of holiday cheer to indoors and outdoors. Scatter some nuts and other holiday goodies with holiday scented candles throughout the house. A hint of Christmas here and there throughout your home blending with the natural flow of decor is much better than to overkill with decorative items. The main decorations should be the real looking artificial Christmas tree and the outdoors of your home. Everything else has to be blend and flow nicely in the whole scheme of things. This will give you a cozy space with the perfect accent of Christmas decorations throughout your home and not take away from the main points of Christmas decorations.
